Hydraulic winch
Lifting with a hydraulic wire winch
The winch raises and lowers loads on a cable, and power-assisted steering helps the operator manoeuvre the crane into position.
Lifting over an obstacle
The boom positions the winch line beyond a barrier, then the cable lowers the load to its destination. The lift needs a clear load path and enough room to position the crane.
Lowering below floor level
The winch can lower materials through an opening or to a lower level. The load, drop distance and boom position determine the setup for the job.
Battery-powered operation
Electric drive and hydraulic lifting operate without engine exhaust at the work area. The crane can work indoors and outdoors on suitable firm ground.
Pick-and-carry movement
The Lasius can travel with a suspended load within its rated working limits. It operates without outriggers, but the route and ground support still need to suit the machine and load.

Applications
Winch lifting for installation and maintenance
Lifting attachments and rigging are agreed for each load before the rental.
Façade and building elements
Lift components past an obstruction or position them on a lower level. The winch allows vertical movement after the boom is in position.
Steelwork and machinery
Lift steel members or machine components using suitable lifting points and rigging. Battery power suits installation and maintenance work inside buildings.
Glass and window units
Use a separately rated vacuum lifter to suspend suitable glass or window units from the hook. The lifter, rigging and panel are assessed together for the rental.
Technical data
Lasius 1.5t winch and crane specifications
| Maximum winch load, single line | 400 kg / 882 lb |
|---|---|
| Maximum winch load, double line | 800 kg / 1,764 lb |
| Winch wire length | Up to 32 m / 105 ft |
| Maximum wire speed | 9 m/min / 29.5 ft/min |
| Hook speed, single line | 9 m/min / 29.5 ft/min |
| Hook speed, double line | 4.5 m/min / 14.8 ft/min |
| Machine weight with winch | 1,655 kg / 3,649 lb |
Available capacity depends on boom position and the single- or double-line setup. The listed wire length is not a lowering-depth rating, because usable travel depends on the line setup. Include the weight of the lifting attachment and rigging with your load details.
| Maximum boom-hook capacity | 1,500 kg / 3,307 lb |
|---|---|
| Capacity, arm fully extended | 400 kg / 882 lb |
| Maximum lifting height | 4,240 mm / 13.9 ft |
| Distance from front bumper to hook | −100 to 2,320 mm / −3.9 to 91.3 in |
| External length | 2,420 mm / 95.3 in |
| Height in dimensional drawing | 1,800 mm / 70.9 in |
| Width, single tires | 890 mm / 35.0 in |

| Battery runtime | Up to 12 hours, depending on use |
| Charging time | 8–10 hours |
| Maximum travel speed | 4.2 km/h / 2.6 mph |
These figures describe the standard boom-hook arrangement. The fitted winch and jib affect the working envelope and clearances, so we confirm the setup against your route and lifting position.
Working range & load diagram
The diagram shows the base crane’s boom-hook working envelope. The winch line rating and the fitted jib position also apply to a winch lift.

Plan the job
Check access and the lifting position
Access and working space
The machine is 890 mm / 35.0 in wide with single tires or 1,200 mm / 47.2 in with twin tires. Include doorways, turns and overhead restrictions in your measurements, and allow room for the boom, winch and suspended load at the lifting position.
Ground and floor support
Machine weight with the winch is 1,655 kg / 3,649 lb, before the load and lifting gear. Firm ground, ramps and suspended floors need assessment for the complete setup, including concentrated wheel loads.

Questions about the Lasius winch rental
Does your Lasius 1.5t rental include the hydraulic winch?
Yes. Our Lasius 1.5t rental is equipped with a hydraulic wire winch, and a trained operator is included. The lifting attachment and rigging are agreed for the load.
Can the winch lift 1,500 kg?
No. The winch is rated up to 400 kg / 882 lb on a single line or 800 kg / 1,764 lb on a double line, subject to boom position. The 1,500 kg / 3,307 lb figure is the base crane’s boom-hook rating, which is a separate capacity.
Can it lower a load below floor level?
Yes, where the setup and load path allow it. Send the required drop distance, opening dimensions and load details so we can check the line setup.
Can the Lasius work inside a building?
Yes. It is battery-powered and produces no engine exhaust while operating. Check the access route and floor support for the machine, load and lifting gear, and we will confirm charging requirements before delivery.
Can it lift glass or window units?
Yes, with a suitable separate vacuum lifter. We assess the glass dimensions, weight and surface together with the attachment and rigging.
Is the Lasius a spider crane?
No. It is a wheeled pick-and-carry mini crane that operates without outriggers, while spider cranes use stabiliser legs and have different access and working-space requirements. Send the route and lifting details so we can assess which suits the job.
Can I rent it outside Vancouver?
Yes, we arrange rentals in the Lower Mainland and consider projects elsewhere in British Columbia and Canada. Delivery, operator scheduling and availability are confirmed for the site and dates.
Can I buy or lease the winch-equipped model?
Yes. Pick & Place supplies GMV equipment for purchase and leasing. Tell us about the loads, required winch travel and working environment so we can quote the configuration.
