RENT WITH AN OPERATOR
Curved glass lifter
Rental in Vancouver
Vacuum lifter with a curved-glass adapter for concave and convex architectural glass. The OKTOPUS GL-M 1200 G host hangs from a crane or hoist and positions the pane. Rent it with a trained operator in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

Not self-propelled
Curved-glass lifter for concave and convex panes up to 800 kg, hung from a crane or hoist.
Features
Curved-glass adapter on a powered vacuum lifter
Pads that follow the curve
Twelve curved-profile suction pads, 400 × 240 mm, sit on two articulated side rails and conform to the glass profile. The panel drawing and the contact face decide the arrangement.
Concave and convex profiles
The adapter can be arranged for glass that curves inward or outward at the lifting face. The radius and the available contact area matter as much as the pane’s size.
Powered rotation and tilt
The OKTOPUS GL-M 1200 G host lifter rotates and tilts the frame under power. Usable movement is assessed with the curved pane attached, including clearance around its edges.
Dual vacuum circuits
Two independent vacuum circuits with monitoring and warnings run from a 24 V DC rechargeable battery. The crane or hoist does the lifting.

Applications
Curved facade and feature glazing
Facades and entrances
Curved corner panes and rounded entrance glazing need pad contact matched to the glass profile. The adapter supports the pane during a crane-assisted installation.
Atria and feature glass
Large curved elements are hard to support and orient by hand. The lifter holds the pane at the agreed contact areas during placement.
Glass surface and contact face
Pad-contact areas must be smooth, airtight, clean and dry, with protective film removed. Coatings and surface obstructions are assessed before a pad arrangement is chosen.

The 800 kg limit belongs to the curved-glass setup and is separate from the host lifter’s flat-glass rating. We check the pane’s weight, radius and contact areas against it in the quote.
Curved glass lifter data sheet
The sheet covers the curved-glass adapter and its GL-M 1200 G host lifter.

Plan the lift
Crane access and placement clearance
Suspended load and crane position
The crane is chosen for the glass, lifter, adapter and rigging together at the working radius. The curve and the pane’s centre of gravity also affect how it hangs.
Space around the curved pane
A curved pane projects beyond its straight edge-to-edge width. The pickup area, the installation opening and nearby facade returns need room for the whole pane and lifting setup.

Rent a curved glass lifter with an operator
Daily, weekly or monthly
Rent the lifter by the day, week or month, with a trained operator. We review the glass drawing and the placement details before confirming the setup.
What the quote covers
The quote confirms the adapter and host lifter arrangement for your pane, the operator and any extra equipment. Crane or hoist supply is confirmed separately.
Vancouver and the Lower Mainland
We deliver and collect the equipment in Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, Coquitlam, Langley, Delta, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, New Westminster and Abbotsford. The rental is planned around your installation dates and site access.
British Columbia and Canada
Projects elsewhere in British Columbia and in other provinces can be arranged with advance transport and operator planning. Availability and mobilisation are confirmed for the project.
Before you book
Questions about curved glass lifter rental
Can it handle both concave and convex glass?
Yes. The adapter can be arranged for either profile. Suitability depends on the radius at the contact face, the pane’s weight and the available pad-contact areas.
How much curved glass can it lift?
The working load limit is 800 kg / 1,764 lb, for glass with a bending radius of 1,500 mm / 4 ft 11 in or greater. We confirm your pane against it using the drawing and weight you send.
Is this a self-propelled glazing robot?
No. The lifter hangs from a crane or hoist and grips and positions the glass. It has no powered travel base.
Can it be used under a canopy or overhang?
An offset lift needs a compatible arrangement, assessed for the complete load and the setback. A counterbalance beam is a separate rental item, with compatibility and capacity confirmed for the job.
Can it lift doubly curved or irregular glass?
Each panel gets an individual review. Send the supplier’s drawing so we can check the contact face against the pad arrangement.
Is an operator included?
Yes. A trained operator comes with the rental, and the quote confirms the lifting arrangement and any extra equipment.
