Features

Manual rotation and an adjustable pad frame

The MR1611LDC hangs from the hook of a crane or hoist. The vacuum frame holds the load at several contact points, and the operator turns it edgewise while it hangs.

01

360° manual rotation

The operator turns an upright pane between portrait and landscape by hand. A rotation latch locks the frame every 90°, and the whole load needs room to turn.

02

Adjustable pad frame

Removable arms and frame sections change the pad footprint from 4 to 16 pads. Each approved layout has its own rating.

03

Battery-powered vacuum

A 12 V DC battery runs the vacuum. Battery and vacuum gauges and a green lift light show the operator the system status.

04

Pendant and blow-off release

A movable control pendant operates the vacuum functions. Blow-off release separates the pads once the load is supported.

Materials

Glass, stone and architectural panels

Curtain wall and window units

Flat glass panes and glazed facade units presented upright. The pad layout follows the available contact areas, and glass thickness, unit depth and weight all enter the selection.

Stone slabs

Flat stone slabs with smooth, airtight contact areas. Surface finish, thickness and slab strength set the layout and how far the slab can extend past the pads.

Metal and composite panels

Rigid sheet metal and architectural panels, including ACM, with suitable contact areas and enough strength to carry the load through them. Coatings, construction and finish are reviewed for each lift.

Pad contact and finished surfaces

The rated capacity assumes clean, dry, smooth contact surfaces with enough friction. Porous or textured materials need a separate assessment, and soft coatings and sensitive finishes are checked for pad marks or deformation.

Capacity depends on the approved frame, the load thickness and the contact conditions. Pad spread is the suction footprint, not a maximum pane size, and load and transport dimensions are assessed separately.

Frame layouts and load ratings

Ratings run from 320 kg / 700 lb for the compact four-pad layout up to 1,270 kg / 2,800 lb for the full 16-pad layout. The drawings show every approved layout with its rating.

Plan the lift

Hoist capacity and clearance around the panel

Suspended weight and headroom

The hoist carries the panel, the lifter and the rigging. The assembled weight is confirmed for the selected frame, and headroom must cover the suspension bar and rigging above the load.

Space around the panel

The whole pane or panel needs clearance along its route and through any rotation. Opening size, scaffolding and nearby building elements can limit that space, and the contact surfaces must be dry.

Questions about the MR1611LDC rental

How much can the MR1611LDC lift?

It depends on the frame layout. The full 16-pad frame is rated 1,270 kg / 2,800 lb and the compact four-pad layout 320 kg / 700 lb. Load thickness and pad contact conditions also change the available capacity.

Does it rotate or tilt the glass?

It rotates the load by hand through 360°, locking every 90°, and it handles loads presented upright. It has no powered tilt. For a horizontal pickup or powered tilt, we can select another lifter from the fleet.

Do we need a crane or hoist?

Yes. The crane or hoist provides the lift and movement, and its capacity must cover the load, the assembled lifter and the rigging at the working position.

Can it handle stone, metal or ACM panels?

Yes, when the contact areas are flat, smooth and airtight. Friction, coatings, panel strength and load thickness decide suitability and capacity, so each lift is assessed for the actual material.

Is there a maximum glass size?

No single size applies to every load. Strength, thickness, pad layout and how far the load extends past the pads decide the support it needs.

Can it handle thick insulated glass units?

Depth and weight are assessed together. The full 1,270 kg / 2,800 lb rating applies to loads up to 25 mm / 1 in thick, and thicker units need a lower capacity matched to their weight and depth.

Is an operator included?

Yes. A trained operator comes with the rental, and the quote confirms the frame arrangement and any extra equipment.
