Features
Four-pad glass lifter with rotation and tilt
Repositionable pad layouts
The four pads move between basic, extended and linear arrangements on the frame and its standard extension arms. The arrangement is chosen to suit the pane.
360° manual rotation
The operator turns the pane edgewise through a full circle by hand. The frame locks at each quarter turn.
90° manual tilt
The frame tilts by hand between flat and upright, and latches automatically when upright. Pickup and installation can be in either orientation.
Battery-powered vacuum
A 12 V DC battery runs the vacuum system. Gauges show vacuum and battery condition, and a warning light signals low vacuum. The crane or hoist does the lifting and travel.
Materials
Glass, window units and flat panels
Glazing and window installation
Flat panes and glazed units for windows, partitions and replacement glazing. Pad positions follow the contact areas available on the pane and the support it needs.
Stone and metal panels
Flat panels with a smooth, nonporous face. Panel strength at the pad positions and the unsupported overhang are assessed for each lift.
Pad contact and coatings
The pads need clean, dry contact areas to seal. Coatings, surface texture and sensitive finishes affect suitability, and pads can leave marks or deform a delicate finish. The MRT4LDC is for flat materials only.
Technical data
MRT411LDC specifications and pad layouts
| Maximum rated load | 320 kg / 700 lb |
|---|---|
| Vacuum pads | 4 lipped pads, spring-mounted |
| Nominal pad diameter | 280 mm / 11 in |
| Basic pad spread, outer edges | Approx. 720 × 830 mm / 28¼ × 32¾ in |
| Extended pad spread, outer edges | Approx. 1,230 × 1,720 mm / 48¼ × 67½ in |
| Linear pad spread, outer edges | Approx. 1,990 × 400 mm / 78¼ × 15¾ in |
| Linear layout, frame width | Approx. 930 mm / 36½ in |
| Edgewise rotation | 360° manual, locked at each 90° turn |
| Tilt | 90° manual, between flat and upright; automatic latch when upright |
| Approximate lifter weight | 62 kg / 135 lb, excluding options |
| Vacuum-system power | 12 V DC |
| Load thickness at maximum rated weight | 25 mm / 1 in |
| Operating temperature | 0–40 °C / 32–104 °F |
| Operating elevation | Up to 1,828 m / 6,000 ft |
Load thickness, pad contact and material strength change the available capacity. Pad spread is the suction footprint of each arrangement, and the pane, the rigging and the operator need room on top of it.

Plan the lift
Working clearance and hoisting position
Space to rotate and tilt
The whole pane needs room to turn and change orientation without touching the building or nearby equipment. Opening sizes, the rigging position and space for the operator are checked in the lift plan.
Headroom and suspended weight
The hoist carries the glass, the lifter and the rigging. The lifter weighs approximately 62 kg / 135 lb, and space above the pane is needed for the lift bar and hook.

Questions about the compact glass lifter rental
How much can the MRT4LDC lift?
Up to 320 kg / 700 lb of suitable flat material with the standard four pads. Load thickness, surface condition and how the material is supported can lower the available capacity.
Does it need a crane or hoist?
Yes. It is a suspended lifter, so a compatible crane or hoist provides the lifting and movement, with capacity for the glass, the lifter and the rigging. Supply is confirmed separately in the quote.
Are rotation and tilt powered?
No. Rotation (360°) and tilt (90°, flat to upright) are both manual. The battery powers only the vacuum system.
Can it handle insulated or coated glass?
Suitable units are assessed by weight, complete depth and pad-contact surface. The full 320 kg / 700 lb rating applies to loads up to 25 mm / 1 in thick, and thicker units need a lower capacity. Coated surfaces need a check for grip and marking.
Can it lift stone and metal panels?
Flat panels with a smooth, nonporous face can be assessed. Material strength, thickness, finish and overhang decide the pad layout and the available capacity.
Will it fit through our doorway?
That depends on the pane, its orientation, the pad layout and the rigging. The 400 mm / 15¾ in linear pad width is a contact footprint, not a doorway dimension, so send the opening sizes and we check the complete assembly.
Is an operator included?
Yes. A trained operator comes with the rental, and the quote confirms the lifting arrangement and any extra equipment.
MRT4LDC or inline glass lifter?
Both lift up to 320 kg / 700 lb of suitable flat material. The MRT4LDC has a repositionable four-pad frame, 360° rotation and weighs 62 kg / 135 lb. The P11104DC has one inline pad channel, 180° rotation and weighs 41 kg / 90 lb. Both tilt 90° by hand.
